4 cups hot water
2 pounds lean ground beef (chuck or sirloin)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cumin seed or ground cumin
1 chopped onion
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 toe garlic
2 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
½ tsp red pepper or chili pepper
1 TBSP salt
1 & ½ tsp ground allspice
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 & ½ TBSP cider vinegar
3 large whole bay leaves

1. Crumble raw (DO NOT BROWN) ground beef into water.
2. Add all other ingredients.
3. Bring to a boil, gently mixing with a fork to break up beef, and then simmer for 2-3 hours.
4. Remove garlic toe and bay leaves before serving.
5. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti topped with shredded cheddar cheese or on top of hot dogs with shredded cheese to make great Coney dogs.
