Louisiana Pork Chops with Rice
This recipe is one that I got from Justin Wilson's Louisiana Cookin show many moons ago. The kitchen smells amazing while this is cooking!
6 center cut porkchops (brush with oil)
1 c. green pepper, diced
1 c. onion, diced
1 glove garlic, pressed
1/4 tsp ground red pepper (or to taste)
salt and pepper
2 c. white wine
white rice, cooked
Brown chops; add diced green pepper, diced onion, red pepper, 1/4 tsp garlic (or one whole clove), dash of salt & pepper.
Cook til onion and green pepper are tender. Add 2c. white wine, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer, 45 minutes. or until chops are done.
Serve with rice, spoon broth from chops over rice and chops
Serves 6
